Der MAXXIS Assegai 29x2,50" 3C Maxx Grip Exo+ wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Greg Minnaar entwickelt und getestet. Sein Name stammt von einem Speer des Zulu-Volkes in Südafrika. Daher ist er die perfekte Waffe für den Kampf gegen die Berge.

Er besteht aus hohen Stollen, die eine hohe Traktion und guten Halt auf trockenem und feuchtem, wurzeligem oder steinigem Gelände bieten. Der 3C Maxx Grip ist eine Kombination aus drei verschiedenen Gummimischungen: eine harte Gummimischung für die Stollenbasis, um eine hohe Steifigkeit bei der Verformung der Stollen und ein präzises Zusammenspiel zu gewährleisten; eine weiche Gummimischung für die mittleren Stollen, um die Verformung der Stollen beim Bremsen, Treten und Überwinden von Hindernissen zu optimieren; und eine sehr weiche Gummimischung für die Stollen an den Seiten, um maximalen Grip in Kurven zu bieten.

In dieser Tubeless Ready-Version, die mit oder ohne Schlauch montiert werden kann, ist der Reifen zusätzlich mit einer Exo+-Karkasse ausgestattet, die die Durchstichfestigkeit um 27 % und die Klemmfestigkeit um 28 % erhöht und die Haltbarkeit der Seitenwände um 51 % verbessert. Bietet eine hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Durchstiche. Er kombiniert zwei bewährte Technologien: die Silkshield-Textilschicht, die von Wulstkern zu Wulstkern reicht und die Robustheit der Lauffläche verbessert, und den EXO-Schutz, der die Seitenwände des Reifens verstärkt.
